16 years in military (Army): Infantry, Airborne Infantry, and Special Operations. Jumpmaster and Ranger Qualified. After the army I was a member of Command Navy Region NW Fire and Rescue as an FF/EMT-I and rope rescue tech for three years. Now I’m a science teacher.
Lived all over: Germany, Various parts of Africa, Cambodia, Thailand, S.Korea, Equador, and the US
I started climbing at 12 with my dad, then started rock climbing at 16 up on Mt Erie and really got into it in Colorado Springs. I’ve made over 55 summits on mountains that are over 12000′ with the largest being Mt Cotopoxi in Equador at 19500′.
I am an AMGA trained Single Pitch Instructor for rock climbing and have lead multiple people up Mt Adams, Mt St Helens, Mt Baker, and Mt Rainer multiple times over the last 4 years.
