YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash. – A search and rescue mission hampered by injury and equipment damage is now going on its fourth day to find an injured hiker at the summit of Mount Adams.
A news release from the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue team says over 30 volunteers have worked since Sunday to locate a man that called 911 Sunday saying he fell 1000 feet down a steep slope on Mount Adams. The hiker said he had an injury to his head and suffered some memory loss and was unable to remember where he was on the summit, according to the news release
